Traffic violation ends in two-county chase, two arrests

Two Jefferson City residents were arrested Thursday morning after leading law enforcement officers on a car chase near the border of Cole and Miller counties.
Robert Mahan Jr., 31, was arrested on several charges including resisting arrest, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, felonious restraint, driving while revoked and leaving the scene of an accident.
Brooklyn Heislen, 23, was arrested for resisting arrest and a felony Cole County warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
As of Thursday afternoon, the two were being held without bond at the Cole County Jail.
