WARDSVILLE, Mo. - There's never a good time to lose your starting quarterback. But if there's any consolation for the Blair Oaks Falcons, it's better now than a couple weeks down the road.
The Falcons kick off district play tonight as the top seed in Class 2 District 6. That means a date with the eighth seed, the Tolton/Calvary Trailblazers, at 7 p.m. at the Falcon Athletic Complex.
But the Falcons will be without senior signal-caller Daniel Castillo, who has accounted for 3,912 yards passing with 45 touchdowns and another 1,803 yards rushing with 25 scores in his two seasons at quarterback. He might be lost for the season after suffering a foot injury.
