A Pioneer Trail Elementary student faces up to a 10-day suspension - and a superintendent's review of her situation that could lead to up to another 180 days, after she acknowledged on Friday that she brought a pellet gun to school Thursday.
David Luther, the Jefferson City School District spokesman, said "a parent contacted a teacher on Friday morning, to let her know she had heard a rumor about a threat ... that a student may have brought a pellet gun to school on Thursday and had made a threat towards two other students. No one was told about it at school on Thursday."
After getting that call, Luther said, "The teacher searched the bag and found the pellet gun."
