Lady Jays’ Hoogveld, Smith wrap up play at state doubles tourney

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Jefferson City’s Eden Hoogveld and Paige Smith wrapped up play in the state doubles tournament Saturday with a 2-2 record.

Smith and Hoogveld dropped their first match 6-2, 6-2 on Friday to St. Joseph’s Academy.

But they bounced back to defeat ....
