Russellville contracts to clean up city property

Two dead American elm trees stand amid a room-sized pile of brush and logs on the city alley, which runs parallel with Marion Street. The Russellville City Council last week accepted a $2,560 bid from Hentges Tree Service Inc. to remove the trees and clean up the city-owned property.

The council also learned that the caboose, currently at the city park, tested positive for lead paint. So City Clerk Karen Platter was directed to ....
