Silver Haired Legislature begins today

Missouri’s “Silver Haired Legislature” has returned — and will decide Friday what the state’s senior citizens’ priorities should be when the General Assembly returns in January.
Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder — whose duties include serving as Missouri seniors’ advocate — will speak at today’s 1:15 p.m. opening general session.
Gov. Jay Nixon will address the mock legislature at 9:15 a.m. Thursday.
