Former employee sues Ashland bank

Leslie McLeland says an Ashland bank’s attempt to foreclose on her 31⁄2-year-old loan really is a retaliation for her whistleblowing about what her 39-page lawsuit says were the bank’s illegal practices.
Mainstreet Bank declined to discuss the specifics of the suit but said, in a one-page statement, that McCleland’s lawsuit is “erroneous and unfounded” and contains “meritless claims.”
The civil lawsuit was filed Sept. 28 in the Boone County circuit court, and said: “Mainstreet Bank is attempting to foreclose on a residential mortgage loan when all payments are current and the loan is not in default.” The suit said a temporary ....
