Your Opinion: Report on births omits abortion
Saturday, October 6, 2012
Referencing the News Tribune (New York AP) article on page A3 of the Oct. 3 issue typifies the media’s methodology in the promotion of liberal ideology by selective exclusion.
The article to which I refer is titled “US births down for 4th year.” My take on the article as written is that the reason for the drop in births is nothing other than the economy. I wonder why abortion isn’t even mentioned?
One would think any intelligent writer would at least think of that possibility. I guess they consider 55,505,000 abortions since the 1973 Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision is of no consequence. For those who may be interested, the website from which my information came and where one may watch the speed at which abortions occur is: http://www.numberofabortions.com/.
It’s very interesting that the average abortion rate for the 39 years since Roe vs. Wade is about 1,423,000 per year. Considering the 2011 decline in births is about 1 percent or about 3,500,000 one would think that any conscientious AP writer would not overlook a provable fact such as over 40 percent of the drop in births being attributable to abortions.
Darn, I keep forgetting about the apparent primary interest of the mainstream media today — protect Democrats and liberal ideology above all else including the survival of America.
