Helias outlasts Blair Oaks

For most of the first game of Thursday night’s volleyball match, it appeared the winner would be the team that got out of its own way the quickest.

That was exactly how it panned out, as the Helias Lady Crusaders picked up their play at the right time and it jump-started them to a 25-21, 25-13 win over the Blair Oaks Lady Falcons.

The opening game featured 25 errors — 13 for Helias and 12 for Blair Oaks — but the Lady Crusaders saved their best for last. Helias got kills on six of the final seven points it scored and used that spurt to claim the win.
