Intricate details and delicate fabrics are hallmarks of the eight pieces from former first lady Margaret Stephens, on display in the Delong Gown Room at the Cole County Historical Society in Jefferson City.
An equally exquisite portrait, painted and donated by internationally recognized artist Kathryn Hajaved, was unveiled Tuesday at a champagne reception.
For the next month, visitors to the society’s museum at 109 Madison St. may see not only the gowns from the society’s unique collection and the new portrait, but also other works by Hajaved. The unveiling was a first-time ....
