California up to eighth in Class 3 rankings

The California Pintos continue their climb in the Class 3 football rankings.

Thanks to their 31-19 victory against Blair Oaks on Friday, California moved up to eighth in this week’s poll.

Blair Oaks’ loss dropped the Falcons from No. 2 in Class 2 into a tie for fourth. Also in Class 2, South Callaway remained in ninth after defeating Confluence Prep 46-0 Friday night.

Tipton, which defeated Butler 63-20, remained third in Class 1.

Like Blair Oaks, some other area teams took a tumble after defeats this week.

Jefferson City dropped from second to seventh in Class 6 this week after a 14-9 loss to Hickman. In Class 4, Helias fell from fifth to eighth after a 35-6 loss to Rock Bridge.
