Maries County makes weekend DWI arrests

Maries County deputies responded early Sunday to a report of an intoxicated driver passed out in the middle of Missouri 52 near Meta.

The driver of the vehicle was found passed out with his foot on the brake and the vehicle in gear. The driver would not wake up, and deputies were required to use a lock-out kit to enter the vehicle. There were numerous open alcoholic containers inside the vehicle along with several loaded firearms.
