Two arrested after shots fired call in JC

On Tuesday at approximately 2:21p.m., Jefferson City police were dispatched to the area of Olive and Park Streets with regards to a call of shots fired.

Information received from callers indicated two black male suspects had fired shots in the area due to an unknown disturbance, and then fled the area eastbound possibly getting in a gold-colored sport utility vehicle.

Officers arrived on scene and received limited information from witnesses, however one spent shell was recovered.

During the course of the investigation, officers arrested one subject, a 20 year-old male Jefferson City resident, for two unrelated warrants and a pending distribution of marijuana charge.

In addition, a 22 year-old Jefferson City female was arrested for obstruction of police during the course of the investigation.

No one was reported injured and the investigation is continuing.

So, if you can't find the perps, arrest someone else you've been looking for. What about the two that got away? The story does not say if they are still looking for them or not.

Just the drug thugs having fun in the 'hood. Nothing new to see here. Like usual, no witnesses or assistance given to law enforcement.
