Relay for Life enlists superheroes for annual effort

Preparations for the Cole County Relay for Life are in full swing for the June 7, 2013, event, with a superhero theme of “Saving Lives Through Hope.” The goal is to have 100 teams at the event, raising $320,000 for cancer.

The relay will be at the Jefferson City Jaycees Fairgrounds. Participants will walk to honor and recognize cancer survivors, those who lost the battle to cancer, and to raise money for cancer research.
