The Rock Bridge Bruins defeated the Jefferson City Jays 1-0 about three weeks ago at the 179 Soccer Park.
What bearing does that have when the Jays (19-8) and Bruins (19-7-1) meet tonight in the Class 3 sectional?
Absolutely nothing. Both teams will have a different look since the Bruins were missing at least three starters in that game, while the Jays were short two.
“We had the better of play in the first half, they had the better in the second half,” Jays coach Eddie Horn said as Jefferson City prepared to host Rock Bridge at 6 p.m. today.
