WARDSVILLE, Mo. - Dominating the game with both their offense and their defense, Derek Otto and Eli Roberts led the Blair Oaks Falcons to a district championship Monday night.

Otto scored three touchdowns on offense and one on defense, and Roberts had one touchdown and a key interception that set up one of Otto's scores, and the Falcons rolled to a 49-21 win over the South Callaway Bulldogs for the Class 2 District 6 title.

"(Otto and Roberts) are as good a linebacker tandem as there is," Blair Oaks coach Brad Drehle said. "They make a lot of plays and do a lot of things."

A perfect example of that came late in the first half with the game tied at 14.

After South Callaway came up with the tying score, Blair Oaks needed just three plays to take the lead for good. After a 6-yard carry by Otto, a 10-yard carry by Roberts set up a 47-yard touchdown run by Roberts.

Then on the ensuing possession for the Bulldogs, Roberts intercepted a pass at the Blair Oaks 48 and took it all the way down to the South Callaway 3-yard line. Three plays later, Otto plunged in from 1 yard out to make it 28-14 with :39.4 left in the half.
