Jefferson City Jays, Jayettes, alumni, teachers, staff and fans are invited to the annual barbecue June 9 to support the Jay Football Foundation at Railwood Golf Course. Tickets are $15 per plate.
The event begins with social hour at 4 p.m. The barbecue, which features pork steak, all the fixings, a watermelon feast and desserts, begins at 5 p.m. There will be a silent auction with sports memorabilia available and a live auction for two press box seats available per home JC football games in the 2012 schedule; 12 suites will be auctioned to the highest bidder, with each suite including game entry for 10 and free food service during the game.
All proceeds support the Jays Football Foundation and the new scholarship program named for Pete Adkins.
