Landscaped ramps dedicated in Holts Summit

In a joint ceremony, the Holts Summit Community Betterment Association and the Kingdom of Callaway Chamber of Commerce Tuesday dedicated six U.S. 54 landscaped entrance and exit ramps in the city.

Speaking on Tuesday at the dedication of landscaped U.S. 54 ramps in Holts Summit are Denise Oxley, right, who originated the landscaping project, and Pam Murray, president of the Holts Summit Community Betterment Association. The associaton participated in and helped coordinate the project.

Last year Denise Oxley of Holts Summit thought it would be a good idea to landscape the highway ramps in Holts Summit.

“I wanted to make the entrance to our city more inviting not only to those who live here but also to help attract visitors to our city,” Oxley said.

The Oxley's live around the corner from me. Sure wish they were my neighbors, they are terrific people.
