Fulton man hurt in motorcycle crash

A Fulton man was listed in serious condition at University Hospital in Columbia after he was involved in a two-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning in Callaway County.

According to Missouri Highway Patrol reports, Jay Macvittie, 61, had stopped his motorcycle at Route J, just north of Route F, around 12:59 a.m., waiting to complete a turn, when he was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by John McCray, 68, Fulton.

McCray had no reported injuries. Both drivers were wearing their safety devices.
