Franks, Lammers tied for 11th at state golf

SPRINGFIELD — Blair Oaks’ Kory Franks and Southern Boone’s Blake Lammers are in a tie for 11th place after the first day of the Class 2 state golf tournament.

Franks and Lammers both shot a 7-over-par 78 at the Twin Oaks Country Club. They find themselves seven shots back of the leaders, as Cuba’s David Abolt and Whitfield’s Mitchell Rutledge both shot a 71. They’re four shots ahead of two players tied for third at 75.

Whitfield leads the team race with a score of 309, seven shots clear of Barstow.
