As the heat of summer hits, full-length pants are replaced with shorts, capris and ankle pants in women's closets.
"Shorts were always in style, but they were never a must-have," said Judy Howard, buyer at Saffees in Jefferson City. "This year, they are a must-have."
Length might be one of the biggest concerns when it comes to choosing a pair of shorts.
"A women's favorite accessory should be a good tailor," said Lisa Rackers, owner of The Perfect Fit Boutique. "The problem is usually that the capri or ankle pant is not short enough for petite women."
