Students told to ‘be in control of your destiny’

Joy and optimism could be seen among all the 247 graduates who got their degrees Saturday at Lincoln University’s spring commencement.

A shaky job market did not seem dim the spirit of the graduates. During the ceremony, those graduates who had a job lined up were asked to stand up and many of them did.

For some of the graduates, Saturday’s ceremony was a stepping stone to another level of education.

Know a large number of successful folks that graduated from this institution. Next time one is at a local medical facility, chances are the RN attending is a Lincoln alumni.
