4 hurt when 15-year-old driver crashes

WARRENTON, Mo. (AP) - Four children are recovering from injuries after an eastern Missouri accident involving a 15-year-old driver.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 15-year-old Chassiddy Allen of St. Louis was driving eastbound on Interstate 70 near Warrenton Tuesday night when the 2000 Dodge Neon went off the left side of the roadway, struck a median cable barrier and overturned.

Allen had minor injuries. Three boys in the car were also hurt. They included an 8-year-old and 10-year-old with moderate injuries and a 5-year-old with serious injuries.

A relative of the youngest victim told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that he was recovering well. She said there was an adult in the car and that Allen had a permit to drive and was coming back from a trip to Jefferson City.
