Lady Jays turn back Kickapoo

SPRINGFIELD — The Jefferson City Lady Jays slipped past the Springfield Kickapoo Lady Chiefs 1-0 in soccer action Monday night.

Mackenzy Kliethermes got the game’s only goal off an assist from Kaley Ruff.

Kelsey Vaught got the shutout in goal for Jefferson City, which improved to 9-13.

Kickapoo posted a 1-0 victory in the JV game.

Jefferson City will return to action Wednesday at Troy.
