The Cole County Sheriff's Department investigated an accidental shooting on Saturday night.
Deputies went to a home in the 1300 block of Biscayne Drive after 11 p.m. to investigate reports that a teenage male suffered a gunshot wound to his arm.
Residents in the area reported seeing the victim walking to a nearby convenience store after he reportedly was shot inside the home. He was eventually taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Deputies took the juvenile they suspect of accidentally firing the gun to the Prenger Family Center for processing.
