Proposal looks to add lanes to part of U.S. 54/63

The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization is forwarding two projects to add to the regional needs priority list.

At the CAMPO Board of Directors meeting Wednesday, members discussed what staff has identified as an ongoing problem on the divided highway between the Missouri River bridges and the Missouri 94 interchange.

The proposal, which will be added to the list sent to the Missouri Department of Transportation for future consideration, is to add a third continuous lane to both directions of U.S. 54/63 between the Jefferson City Memorial Airport interchange and the Missouri 94 interchange.
