The Pregnancy Help Center of Central Missouri will open Saturday in Jefferson City at 1011B Southwest Blvd. Many local pastors and concerned residents have been working to open a pregnancy support and counseling center, since the My Life Clinic closed at the same location a few years ago.
At the center's open house 10 a.m.-1 p.m., visitors will greet volunteers and the executive director, Christian Bonett. Volunteers will follow the ethics of the multi-denominational, Christian organization. And they are receiving legal and psychological training through Heartbeat International.
