EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) - Andy McDonald scored twice and Kevin Shattenkirk had a goal and two assists as the St. Louis Blues defeated the Edmonton Oilers 5-2 on Wednesday.
St. Louis moved into a tie with the Detroit Red Wings atop the Central Division with 87 points and a point back of the Vancouver Canucks for the overall league lead.
Scott Nichol and Chris Stewart also scored for the Blues, who have won four straight on a six-game road trip.
St. Louis has won 10 of its last 13 games.
Corey Potter and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored for the Oilers, who have lost two of their last three to remain in second-last in the NHL.

PENGUINS 4, STARS 3, SO
DALLAS (AP) - Pascal Dupuis converted in the fourth round of the shootout and Pittsburgh won its fourth straight.
Dupuis fired past Stars goaltender Kari Lehtonen and Pittsburgh goalie Marc-Andre Fleury denied Michael Ryder's attempt to clinch the extra point.
James Neal and Chris Kunitz also scored in the shootout for Pittsburgh. Loui Eriksson and Jamie Benn countered for Dallas.
Craig Adams and Kunitz scored over a 47-second span of the third period to make it 3-2 Pittsburgh. But Ryder's 26th goal tied it at 3 at 7:23 of the third for Dallas.

BLACKHAWKS 5, MAPLE LEAFS 4
CHICAGO (AP) - Marian Hossa scored twice as the struggling Chicago Blackhawks overcame an early two-goal deficit and ended a three-game losing streak.
Hossa's goal late in the second period gave the Blackhawks their first lead at 4-3. He added an empty-net goal with 16 seconds left that turned out to be the game-winner after Toronto's Mike Brown scored with 4 seconds remaining.
Patrick Kane had a goal and an assist for the Blackhawks, and rookies Marcus Kruger and Andrew Shaw also scored for Chicago, which won for only the fifth time in its last 17 contests.
Tyler Bozak, Joffrey Lupul and Clarke MacArthur scored in the first period for the slumping Maple Leafs, who lost their sixth straight.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Ryan Miller made a season-high 43 saves in his fourth shutout, Derek Roy and Brad Boyes scored, and Buffalo beat Anaheim.
Christian Ehrhoff assisted on goals for the Sabres, who are 9-3-3 since Jan. 24 and five points out of a playoff spot.
Miller's shutout was the 26th of his career. The 2010 Vezina Trophy winner has started 18 consecutive games, and has allowed fewer than three goals in 10 of them. It was his third 40-save game of the season.
Jonas Hiller made 22 saves for the Ducks, who have lost consecutive games for the first time in eight weeks and are seven points out of a playoff spot with 18 games remaining.
