FBI reports 2 banks robbed hour apart in Missouri

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - The FBI is looking for suspects in two bank robberies that happened less than an hour apart outside of Kansas City.

No one was injured in either robbery.

The first robbery happened at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Blue Springs. A man wearing dark clothing, black cap and blue bandana over his face held up the Bank of the West and got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

The second robbery happened about 10 a.m. at Blue Ridge Bank and Trust in Raytown. A man with a gun entered and demanded the security officer's weapon. FBI spokeswoman Bridget Patton tells The Kansas City Star (http://bit.ly/KVdWHA) the security officer fired in the would-be robber's direction.

Patton says the suspect is believed to have fired back as he fled on foot.
