Commission backs proposed hair salon at garden center

Get your hair done, then buy garden supplies. That one-stop shopping idea won the Jefferson City Planning and Zoning Commission's approval Thursday night.

Before it can happen, though, the City Council also must okay the proposed change to Price's Garden Center's existing PUD, or planned unit development, zoning idea at its July 16 meeting.

No one opposed the request during Thursday's meeting, which included a public hearing. The current PUD zoning was approved in 2002, and allows only a garden center at 2304 Lorenzo Greene Drive.
