Cole County takes ownership of Eugene water system

One longtime water issue facing the Cole County Commission was resolved Thursday morning, while a different one remains up in the air.

The commission agreed Thursday to assume the Eugene water system, making it the county’s responsibility after years of trying to get private companies to take over the system.
