Plans are moving forward on designing a project to make improvements in Jefferson City along Capital Avenue from Adams to Lafayette streets.
The work would be a cooperative project between the city and Cole County with each entity paying $300,000 and the money coming from half-cent sales tax funds.
Officials said the work in the three-block corridor could include new and/or repaired sidewalks, curb and gutter work, new street lighting and pedestrian improvements at intersections.
