Russellville man sentenced to 3-year term

A Russellville man has been sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to charges related to a June chase with authorities.

Jeromy Holweg, 33, was charged with resisting arrest, leaving the scene of an accident, driving while revoked, careless and imprudent driving, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and failure to register a vehicle.

His sentence will run concurrent to all other sentences against him.

A Cole County Sheriff's Department probable cause statement shows a deputy saw Holweg speeding in the 2300 block of Route C. Holweg eventually got onto Route U and attempted to make a left turn onto Rockhouse Road. But he failed to make the turn and struck a tree.
