Firefighters respond to apartment call

Firefighters from the Regional West Fire Protection District responded around 11:10 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a structure fire at apartments in Cole County, just west of Jefferson City.

They quickly extinguished the blaze.

Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters reported seeing light smoke coming from the building at 4912 Charm Ridge Drive. The incident was reported as being under control at 11:26 p.m.
