Salute hailed as a success with huge crowds, shows

Wednesday’s Salute to America was “just fantastic,” according to event planner Jill Snodgrass.

Aside from the unavoidable heat, Snodgrass said, Jefferson City’s Independence Day celebration went as well as it possibly could have, from carnival to concert to fireworks.

“I’m quite certain that we brought lots of people from surrounding communities to see the fireworks,” she said.
