Lincoln enters last half of conference play
Saturday, January 21, 2012
When the Lincoln University men’s and women’s basketball teams take to the court at Fort Hays State today, it will officially begin the second half of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association schedule.
For the Lincoln women, they’ll be looking to give the Tigers a taste of their own medicine, as Fort Hays stole a 71-65 win on Lincoln’s home court back on Nov. 20. But that may be easier said than done, as Fort Hays comes into the 2 p.m. contest ranked second in the MIAA in scoring offense and scoring defense.
On the men’s side, a win for Lincoln would continue an odd trend, as the Blue Tigers have alternated wins and losses the entire month. In the 4 p.m. contest, Lincoln will be taking on a Fort Hays squad ranked No. 25 in Division II.
