Dear Editor
The letter from Givens is and was pure trash. With the aid of Google it took about two minutes to reveal that Preident Obama was not on "Meet the Press," Sept. 8, 2008.
One minute later Politifact revealed Given's letter, verbatim, was totally false and gave it a rating of Pants On Fire, Poltifact's most severe declaration of falsehood. Poltifact further stated that this malicious cluster of lies went viral on the Internet to the degree that Politifact anointed it as one of the top lies of the year 2008 .
Givens has a right to express his opinions and you have a responsibility to publish them. He also has the right to spread vicious lies. Your responsibility as the editor is to not print the lies.
