Jays finish second to Park Hill at Capital City Invite

It was an individual tournament, but the finals at the Capital City Invitational had all the earmarks of a Jefferson City-Park Hill dual.

The Jays and Trojans each placed seven wrestlers in Saturday night's finals at Fleming Fieldhouse. Jefferson City won the battle, finishing 2-1 in head-to-head matchups with Park Hill. But the Trojans won the war, earning their ninth consecutive Invitational team title.

"I'm so proud of these kids, they did such a good job," Jays coach Phil Cagle said.
