Joplin 65, Jays 57

JOPLIN — Jefferson City let a halftime lead slip away and the Jays fell 65-57 to Joplin in the first round of the Kaminsky Classic.

Leading 32-29 at the break, the Jays managed just eight points in the third quarter and trailed 44-40 heading into the final quarter. Joplin outscored Jefferson City 21-17 in the fourth to advance to the winner’s bracket.
