Lincoln, Pittsburg State set for MIAA clash tonight

Something’s got to give. When the Lincoln women’s basketball team plays host to the Pittsburg State Gorillas today, one team will see a winning streak come to an end.

The Blue Tigers come into the contest (5:30 p.m. tipoff ) on the heels of a perfect month, as Lincoln went 5-0 in December.

The Blue Tigers come into the game tied for third in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association, as they are 9-1 overall and 4-1 in the conference.

On the men’s side, Lincoln will be hoping the new year is friendlier than the old one.

When Lincoln takes to the court against Pittsburg State (7:30 p.m. tipoff ), the Blue Tigers will be looking to improve on their 1-9 overall record, which includes a mark of 1-4 in the MIAA.

The Blue Tigers’ woes are due in large part to their shooting, as they’ve made just 39.9 percent of their shots from the field this season.
