Fluellen honored by MIAA

After leading the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association in passes defended and recording a team-high six interceptions, Lincoln's O'Hara Fluellen capped off his senior season by being selected to the Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-Super Region Four squad.

Fluellen was one of four cornerbacks named to the third team defense. The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native was credited with 14 passes defended (breakups plus interceptions) last season.

While his six picks tied for the third-most in the MIAA, he also tied for second in the league in fumbles forced (three) and also blocked a kick. Fluellen finished third on the Blue Tigers in solo tackles (41) and overall tackles (49).

Fluellen also returned 25 kickoffs for 477 yards, which, along with his interception returns, was good enough for him to finish fourth on Lincoln in all-purpose yardage (546).

Prior to the season, Fluellen was selected as an honorable mention All-American by Consensus Draft Services, and following the year, he was named an honorable mention all-MIAA pick.
