SW Mo. teen seeks change of venue

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - A southwest Missouri teenager charged with killing another teenager has asked that his criminal case be moved out of Greene County.

Gabriel Roche, 18, of Republic, is charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of 17-year-old Weston North, also of Republic.

The Springfield News-Leader reports (http://sgfnow.co/At2c7k) that court documents show Roche's defense attorney has asked that the case be moved to another venue. The prosecution is opposing that motion.

Circuit Judge Dan Conklin will decide on the motion March 2.
