Central Electric Power Cooperative made financial contributions to the Special Learning Center and the Central Missouri Foster Care and Adoption Association the week before Christmas.
Don Shaw, chief executive officer, said the cooperative presented the Special Learning Center with a $5,600 check and the Central Missouri Foster Care and Adoption Association a check for $1,300. Parts of the contributions were raised by cooperative employees and parts were corporate donations.
"It's really a great service they provide," Shaw said. "We feel privileged to be able to help them."
