High school choir places first

Jefferson City High School’s competition show choir — JCity Riot — placed first in 5A at the Webb City Show Choir Showcase on Dec. 8.

The Riot also took home the Outstanding Vocals award, out of 25 participating choirs, and Natalie Wittenberger captured the Outstanding Female Vocalist award.

The group will perform next on Jan. 5 at the State Fair Community College Showcase in Sedalia.
