Missouri’s Brown ready for debut

COLUMBIA, Mo. — It’s not really known what Jabari Brown will bring to the table for the 12th-ranked Missouri basketball team.

Brown, a 6-5 transfer guard from Oregon, is expected to suit up as Missouri (8-1) hosts South Carolina State at 7 p.m. today.

But Missouri coach Frank Haith was quick to point out expectations should be tempered for the top-20 recruit simply because he hasn’t played a game in more than a year.

“He hasn’t told me my immediate role,” Brown when asked how he expected Haith to use him in the offense. “He just told me to be ready and not put too much pressure on myself on the court.”
