Area teams hold down spots in state rankings

Four area teams are in this week’s state basketball polls.

The California Lady Pintos are the highest-ranked among the local squads, taking the No. 5 spot in Class 3. The Chamois Lady Pirates are No. 6 in Class 1.

A pair of boys teams are in the Class 3 rankings. Fatima is No. 6, while Southern Boone holds down the No. 10 position.
