The owners of a fiberoptic network based in Columbia are expanding their services into Jefferson City and Fulton.

On Thursday, a contractor began boring under the Missouri River in Jefferson City for the cabling.

Mike Morey, CEO of Bluebird Network, said their network serves Missouri and Illinois.
