Volunteers give Amtrak riders friendly first impression of capital

A mix of travelers and their destinations come through the Capital City Amtrak station.

College students and youth groups are frequent travelers. Weekends often bring partiers choosing not to drive. And released offenders regularly take the train home.

No matter a train rider’s appearance or destination, volunteers with the Capital City Amtrak Friends, Inc., are at the station eager to help.
