Three arrested on outstanding warrants

Three Jefferson City residents were arrested on outstanding warrants Thursday after police responded to a weapons call.

Police Capt. Bob Cynova said in a news release that officers responded to a possible weapons call at 10:11 p.m. Thursday at 919 Broadway St. after it was reported that several subjects in the yard and house were carrying guns.

Officers received permission to search the residence and located four semi-automatic handguns, which were then seized by the officers.

Three subjects at the scene were arrested on outstanding warrants: Raymond O. Bryson Jr., 29, of Jefferson City; Denique Rashad Clark, 24, of Jefferson City; and Daveian Jemond Carter, 19, of Jefferson City.

All three were taken to the Cole County Jail and incarcerated pending bond payments.

Police are not seeking any weapon-related charges at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.

Warrants? Guns? But our public schools should have taught them better. Our almighty government has failed these young men. This surely isn't their fault or their parents fault (or lack there of), no way. First, the guns involved need to be prosecuted for forcing their way into the hands of these wanted men. Then the store that sold them needs to be publicly ridiculed for selling these guns legitimately to someone along the way. Lastly, we need more rich peoples money to hand to government to solve this problem. Cause we all know our government isn't in the business of handing guns/assault rifles over to known criminals (domestic or foreign) without keeping good tabs on them (and by good tabs I mean finding out later one was used to kill a federal agent then covered up by the POTUS).
