Local churches find Common Ground
Wednesday, August 1, 2012
A lending library, a community garden, a benevolence office and an art-based outreach for children — the Common Ground Community Center has established several programs in just a few months after opening in Jefferson City.
Neighbors are invited to an open house from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday to learn more about what the center at the corner of Atchison Street and Clark Avenue has planned.
Several churches have joined together in support of the project, with First United Methodist Church taking the lead.
